What is Busheling scrap?
Busheling is clean, new steel scrap left over from manufacturing, such as sheet off-cuts and stamping leftovers from car, appliance and fabrication factories. Because it has never been used, painted or rusted, it is one of the most valuable grades of steel scrap.
Busheling usually comes as small, flat pieces and is often baled for transport.
Mills like it because its chemistry is known and it melts cleanly, so it commands a premium over HMS.
Factories in Pakistan that produce regular sheet off-cuts can often get better rates by selling them sorted and dry directly to large buyers.
Keep busheling free of oil, paper and mixed scrap to protect its grade.
