Vehicle scrap
Scrap your car, van or bike in Pakistan
A vehicle that no longer runs still has value in its steel body, engine, radiator, battery, wiring and tyres. Scrap vehicle buyers usually price a car by its weight and condition, while parts sellers can earn more by selling the engine, gearbox and body parts separately.
Post your vehicleHow a scrap vehicle price is worked out
- Weight of steel and iron at the current iron scrap rate.
- Aluminium parts: engine head, rims, radiator and gearbox casing.
- Copper in the wiring harness, alternator and starter motor.
- Battery at the battery scrap rate, and catalytic converter if present.
- Re-usable parts that a parts dealer can resell.
Papers and legal steps
- Keep the registration book and your CNIC copy ready for the buyer.
- Ask your provincial excise and taxation office about de-registering or transferring a scrapped vehicle so it is no longer in your name.
- Remove the number plates and personal items before handing over.
Bikes and rickshaws
Old motorcycles and rickshaws are usually sold to parts shops or scrap dealers. Engines, wheels and frames are often worth more as used parts than as iron, so list them with clear photos.

Frequently asked questions
Should I sell my old car whole or in parts?
Selling whole is faster and simpler. Selling parts can earn more if the engine, gearbox or body panels are still usable, but it takes time and space.
How much does a small car weigh?
Small hatchbacks typically weigh around 800 to 1,000 kg, and sedans more. Scrap buyers deduct for glass, plastic, seats and fluids that are not metal.
